What Is Scapular Dyskinesis?
The scapula, or shoulder blade, plays a key role in every shoulder movement. It provides a stable foundation that allows your arm to move efficiently. Scapular dyskinesis occurs when the shoulder blade moves abnormally or loses its normal position during arm movement.
This abnormal movement can place extra stress on the muscles, tendons, and ligaments around the shoulder, making everyday activities like lifting, reaching, or exercising more difficult.
